As promised, here is the follow up to the Surya Namaskara (sun salutation) video which I posted at the start of the year in January http://bit.ly/surya-namaskar That one was taken from the Preliminary Course Book. The one featured in this video is from the Intermediate Course Book which shows the way to learn advance Surya Namaskara with proper breathing actions. This sequence has three Chaturangas Dandasanas including a jumping back action. The trunk muscles and spinal muscles are toned in this jumping action. This cycle of asanas, when done correctly, gives power and strength to the arms, legs, trunk, chest and back along with spinal muscles.
Note: In the second round I add Urdhva Namaskar (upward salutation) and look up, as well as Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (upward facing dog) classic version on tops of the feet with the head thrown back.
